Started in the year 1985, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, with the illustrious BVBCET background, today offers the following degree programs:

1.  Bachelor of Engineering  (Computer Science & Engineering)

2.  Master of Technology  (Computer Science & Engineering)

State of art lnlrastructure, qualilied and experienced faculty, student centered teaching learning processes based on excellent pedagogic practices form the eco system of the department. Good industrial interface and the experienced alumni nurture the eco system. The curriculum design for the programs is aligned to the needs ofthe industry. Programming, Algorlthmlcs, Software Engineering, Databases, Operating Systems, Compilers and Graphics and Visualisation form the core of the curriculum. Soft Computing, Networking, Web Technologies, Embedded Systems and System Software (Distributed, Grid etc. ) are the curriculum threads. The pedagogic practices in the department enhance the efiectiveness of teaching leaming process. The focus of the programs is on experiential learning implemented through course projects, mini projects and a major project along with seminars. The students of the department have won accolades in many state and national level events including IBMs Great Mind Challenge for successive years.
